If you are looking for somewhere quiet, yet quirky, to meet up with a friend for a catch up and a drink, you’ve just found the ideal place.
The Cataholic Cat Café might not appear to be anything special from the outside, but step in and you’ll be greeted with a warm atmosphere and some feline friends awaiting your affection.
When you enter the cafe, you’ll notice it’s bright and open feel. The floor to ceiling windows at both ends of the cafe allow the sun to stream through so you can enjoy the natural light without the Bangkok heat.
Take a seat on one of the many cushions and order yourself a drink or snack. There are a variety of options for you to choose from, we went for the iced lemon tea (70baht) and the ham and cheese sandwich (120baht) which was ‘Thai style’; three pieces of bread instead of the usual two – which was a nice surprise.
Other items on the menu included flavoured hot and iced teas, coffee, soft drinks, cakes and some small meals such as spaghetti bolognese.
As one of the smaller cat cafe’s in Bangkok, Cataholic Cat Café is a nice place to relax and unwind in the company of some very lazy cats.
Some of the other cat cafe’s in Bangkok are home to some very hyperactive and playful felines, Cataholic Cat Café on the other hand is where the very chilled out kitties (aka, the cool cats) live.
This probably isn’t a place you would come to if you wanted to play with the cats, but rather a quiet café that has cats hanging around. This isn’t a bad thing of course, especially if you want to relax and unwind.
Be on the lookout for the camera-ready cats lounging around the room and don’t be afraid to snap away.
You might have to look under a few tables or on the shelves to find where they are sprawled out. Some will be in their favourite spots, soaking up the sun, waiting for your attention.
Others will be taking the opportunity to nibble from their bowl or have a clean.
The cats at Cataholic Cat Café are a really beautiful and are all very photogenic. We’d certainly recommend Cataholic Cat Café for those looking for a quiet, cat-friendly space in Bangkok to chat, to read or to update your Instagram feed!
Before leaving Cataholic Cat Café, don’t forget to check out the small gift section toward the back of the cafe. It’s full of cat merchandise and accessories such as key rings, notebooks, pens and ornaments. There are even cat beauty products such as shampoo to take home to your own cats.
Cataholic Cat Café is open from Tuesday to Sunday 11:30-21:00. To reach the Cataholic Cat Café take the Sky Train to BTS Phrom Phong and then grab a taxi up to Ozono, which is at the very top of Sukhumvit 39 where it meets with Petchaburi soi 38.
